Abstract

The research titled “Integrating Technology and Logistics for Sustainable Tourism Development in Khirirat Subdistrict, Phop Phra District, Tak Province” aims to examine the general condition of the tourism logistics system in the area, analyze the community’s potential in applying technology to enhance sustainable tourism, and develop a supportive system or tool for tourism logistics management. A key research output of this study is the development of a prototype “community-based tourism mobile application” designed to integrate local logistics data and technology. The application includes core functions such as destination search, activity booking, review and rating systems, online payment mockup, and interactive mapping—designed to suit the local context and be user-friendly. A mixed-methods approach was employed, combining quantitative data from 384 tourist questionnaires and qualitative insights from in-depth interviews with community leaders, entrepreneurs, and local authorities. The findings indicate that the current tourism logistics system in Khirirat Subdistrict is still at an early stage, facing challenges in infrastructure, transportation, and visitor service management. However, the area shows high potential for development, especially in its rich natural and cultural attractions such as Pa Wai Waterfall, the Hmong New Year Festival, and traditional hemp weaving activities. The implementation of appropriate digital tools tailored to the local context can enhance logistics efficiency and serve as a concrete model for sustainable community-based tourism.
