Abstract

      This academic article aims to present an approach for applying artificial intelligence (AI) in motion graphic design based on design thinking to enhance digital communication competence. The study synthesizes design thinking principles and proposes the PBT Model, comprising three key stages: 1) Problem understanding (P), 2) Brainstorming (B), and 3) Testing (T). AI technology is systematically integrated into every stage: utilizing AI to rapidly gather and analyze data for deep audience comprehension; employing AI as a brainstorming and sketching tool to stimulate creativity and generate diverse problem-solving approaches; and leveraging AI in the final production of motion graphics to ensure efficiency, minimize production time, and captivate the audience. The analysis indicates that integrating AI with the Design Thinking process via the PBT Model concretely reduces technical skill barriers and production time. Academically, this article contributes a new paradigm in user-centered learning media design. Practically, this body of knowledge serves as a guideline for educational media designers and educators to apply such innovations to elevate the quality of digital media production, effectively responding to the dynamics of learning and communication in the modern world.
