This academic article aims to examine the role of artificial intelligence (AI) as a teaching assistant in modern schools within the context of a rapidly changing world (VUCA World), which has significantly influenced instructional practices. AI technology has begun to play a crucial role in transforming the entire Thai education system. At present, AI is being applied in various educational contexts—for instance, enhancing and adapting content to make it more engaging and easier to understand, serving as a personal assistant by providing guidance and appropriate support, and even developing multimedia materials such as educational games. The roles of artificial intelligence as a teacher assistant in schools can be categorized as follows: 1) Personalized Learning 2) Student Assessment and Feedback 3) Enhancing Teacher Skills 4) Designing Lesson Plans and Learning Activities and 5) Administrative Support. As a result, teachers must continuously develop their technical knowledge and skills in using AI wisely and critically through educational processes.
