Publication Ethics
The Journal of Innovation in Administration and Educational Management has established clear policies and procedures to ensure that the publication of academic articles communicates and disseminates scholarly knowledge accurately, with quality and transparency, and in accordance with international publication standards, such as those of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). Accordingly, the journal has formulated guidelines, best practices, and ethical standards for publication to govern its editorial processes.
The journal defines the roles and responsibilities of authors, editors, and reviewers so that all three groups strictly adhere to these requirements for the benefit of all stakeholders, readers, and the academic community as a whole. The details are as follows:
Roles and Responsibilities of Authors
-
Authors must certify that the submitted manuscript is an original work and has not been published in any other journal.
-
Authors must properly cite the works of others and provide a reference list at the end of the manuscript.
-
Authors must prepare the manuscript in accordance with the journal’s prescribed format and guidelines.
-
All individuals listed as authors must have made a substantial contribution to the research.
-
Authors must clearly disclose any conflicts of interest.
-
Authors must consent to the journal’s plagiarism screening using the CopyCatch system. The similarity index must not exceed 25% of the total content for the manuscript to be eligible for consideration for publication.
Roles and Responsibilities of the Editor of the Journal of Innovation in Administration and Educational Management
-
The editor shall consider and select manuscripts of appropriate quality for publication in the journal.
-
The editor must not disclose any information about authors or reviewers to unauthorized persons during the review process.
-
The editor must make decisions on manuscript selection based primarily on the manuscript’s significance, originality, clarity, and relevance to the journal’s policies and scope.
-
The editor must not publish manuscripts that have already been published elsewhere.
-
The editor shall not reject a manuscript solely on the basis of suspicion or uncertainty.
-
The editor must have no conflicts of interest with any parties involved in the publication process.
-
The editor must rigorously check manuscripts for plagiarism using reliable software to ensure that published articles do not contain plagiarized content.
-
If plagiarism is detected during the review process, the editor shall immediately suspend the evaluation process and contact the corresponding author for clarification, which will be used to determine whether the manuscript should be accepted or rejected.
Roles and Responsibilities of Reviewers
-
Reviewers must maintain confidentiality and must not disclose any part or all of the manuscript to unauthorized persons during the review period.
-
If, after receiving a manuscript from the editor of the Journal of Innovation in Administration and Educational Management, a reviewer realizes that they may have a conflict of interest with the author(s)—for example, being a collaborator, having a personal relationship with the author(s), or any other reason that may compromise independent judgment—the reviewer should inform the editor and decline to review the manuscript.
-
Reviewers should evaluate manuscripts only within their areas of expertise, considering the significance of the content for the academic field, the quality of the analysis, and the rigor of the work. Reviewers should not base their judgments on personal opinions that lack supporting evidence.
-
Reviewers must complete the review within the timeframe specified by the journal and submit the completed review to the journal within 30 days from the date of receiving the manuscript.
