Creation and Development of a Skills Training Set for Split-Phase Motor Coil Connection.

Abstract

This research aims to create and develop a training set for the skill of wiring a split-phase motor to study the effectiveness index of vocational certificate students in the electrical power field, second-year students in the academic year 2021, enrolled in the alternating current motor course (course code 20104-2008). The research also aims to study the students' satisfaction with learning using the split-phase motor wiring training set. The sample group consisted of 20 second-year vocational certificate students in the electrical power department at Trang Technical College, who were registered in the alternating current motor course. The sample was selected through purposive sampling. The research instruments included the split-phase motor wiring training set, and a pre- and post-test assessment to measure learning achievement, which were parallel tests. The statistical methods used for data analysis included efficiency (E1/E2), effectiveness index (E.I.), index of consistency (IOC), difficulty level (P), and discriminating power (D).

The research results revealed that the split-phase motor wiring training set had an efficiency of 85.60/82.00. The results of the learning innovation experiment using the training set showed that the students had improved learning outcomes, with a learning effectiveness index of 0.71, or 71.00%. Furthermore, the students' satisfaction with the training set was high, with an average satisfaction score of 4.64, the highest level.
