The Construction and Efficiency Finding of Engine Cylinder Head Cleaner

Abstract

The purposes of this research were to: 1) construct an engine cylinder head cleaner; 2) study the efficiency of the engine cylinder head cleaner; and 3) study the service technicians' satisfaction on the engine cylinder head cleaner. The sample group included 20 service technicians of Isuzu Chiang Rai Co., Ltd. and Chiang Saeng Co., Ltd., Muang District, Chiang Rai Province derived by purposive sampling technique. The research tools included engine cylinder head cleaners, performance records, and satisfaction questionnaires. The statistics used to analyze the data include averages and standard deviations.

The research showed that: 1) the developed engine cylinder head cleaner is 45 centimeters wide, 80 centimeters long and 130 centimeters high operated by an electric motor with a sandpaper-mounted rotor unit that performs the task of rotating and cleaning the engine cylinder head. 2) The cleaner efficiency of the engine cylinder head cleaner was 2.48 minutes for a sedan, 3.08 minutes for a pickup truck, and 4.25 minutes for a truck. In addition, the satisfaction of the service technicians towards the engine cylinder head cleaner was at the highest level.
