Development of Instructional Package of Theory of Machine Tools, Course Code 20102-2003, Vocational Certificate Program, 2562 B.E., First Year Industrial Technician Students of Ranong Technical College

Abstract

The purposes of this research were to: 1) develop an instructional package for Theory of Machine Tools, course code 20102-2003, under the 2562 B.E. Vocational Certificate Program in the Industrial Trades category, based on the efficiency criterion of 80/80; 2) compare students’ learning achievement before and after learning with the instructional package; 3) determine the effectiveness index of the instructional package based on the criterion of higher than 0.50; and 4) study students’ satisfaction with learning through the instructional package. The sample consisted of 36 first-year students in the Factory Mechanics program during the first semester of the 2564 B.E. academic year, selected through purposive sampling. The research instruments consisted of the instructional package, an achievement test, and a satisfaction questionnaire. The data were analyzed using percentage, mean, standard deviation, and a t-test for hypothesis testing.

The results showed that the instructional package for Theory of Machine Tools, course code 20102-2003, under the 2562 B.E. Vocational Certificate Program in the Industrial Trades category, was rated at the highest level of quality and achieved an overall efficiency of 82.54/81.11, exceeding the established criterion of 80/80. The students’ mean post-test scores were significantly higher than their pre-test scores at the 0.01 level. The effectiveness index of the instructional package was 0.6730, indicating a learning progress of 67.30%. Furthermore, the students’ overall satisfaction with learning through the instructional package was at the highest level.
