Development of a Prototype System for Integrating RDBMS and Blockchain Technology
Main Article Content
Abstract
This study aims to 1) develop a prototype system integrating RDBMS and Blockchain technology, and 2) evaluate the performance of the prototype system. The development began with building the system using Flask for backend management and designing an Application Programming Interface (API) to facilitate adding and retrieving blockchain data. Data was stored in a MySQL database, with hash values recorded to ensure data integrity and prevent tampering. The Angular Framework was employed to develop the user interface. The system's performance was then evaluated by five information technology experts.
The results showed that the performance of the prototype system integrating RDBMS and Blockchain technology, as assessed by the experts, achieved an overall average score of "very good." The aspect with the highest average score was the ease of use of the prototype, followed by system performance and data security, respectively. However, the aspect with the lowest average score was the appropriateness of the system design.
