Needs Assessment on the Development of Digital Leadership for Educational Administrators under the Institute of Vocational Education Southern Region 2

Abstract
This research article aims to study the current situation, expectations, and necessary needs for developing digital leadership among educational administrators under the Vocational Education Institute Southern Region 2. The study employed a descriptive research methodology with the sample group consisting of educational administrators, acting administrators, heads of academic departments, and heads of work units within institutions under the Vocational Education Institute Southern Region 2. The study includeed seven institutions in the academic year 2024, with 175 participants. Data analysis were conducted by mean, percentage, standard deviation, and the PNImodified ranking needs.
The research findings indicated that the current situation was high (𝑥̅ =3.74) with the highest aspect on digital communication (𝑥̅ =4.06) or at a high level. The overall expectations was high (𝑥̅ =4.40) with the highest aspect also on digital communication (𝑥̅ =4.51) or at a very high level. The assessment of needs revealed that the most critical needs for the development of digital leadership for educational administrators under the Institute of Vocational Education Southern Region 2 was the aspect on professional development for digital personnel (PNImodified=0.265), followed by fostering a digital learning culture (PNImodified=0.201) and enhancing digital agility (PNImodified=0.198) respectively.
