Abstract

This research aimed to: 1) study the current conditions, desired conditions, and needs for building relationships with the community at Wat Bang Phla School, and                2) develop guidelines for enhancing these relationships. A mixed-methods research design was employed, consisting of two phases: Phase 1 involved quantitative research using a questionnaire with 122 participants, including school administrators, teachers, school committee members, and parents. Phase 2 involved qualitative research through in-depth interviews with 10 key informants, including school administrators, teachers, school board members, community leaders, and parents

The findings revealed that the current level of school-community relationships was high, while the desired conditions were at the highest level. The most urgent need was identified in the area of public relations, followed by community participation, support for school activities, and community services, respectively. Based on qualitative data analysis, four key guidelines were proposed: 1) promoting community participation in school management, 2) developing the school as a community resource and knowledge center,       3) organizing joint activities to strengthen relationships, and 4) utilizing diverse and accessible communication channels. These findings offer a practical framework for enhancing school-community collaboration to improve educational quality and foster sustainable local engagement
