The Creation and efficiency of incinerators to reduce air pollution for communities Design and performance evaluation of incinerators for reducing air pollution in local communities
Main Article Content
Abstract
The objectives of this research were: (1) to construct a waste incinerator to reduce air pollution in the community, (2) to test the efficiency of the waste incinerator in reducing air pollution, and (3) to study user satisfaction with the waste incinerator designed for reducing air pollution in the community. The research process began with a review of relevant documents and studies, followed by the design and construction of the waste incinerator. Data collection tools were developed and validated with the help of research experts. These tools included a questionnaire for expert opinions on the design, an experimental log for measuring the incinerator's efficiency, and a user satisfaction questionnaire. Five experts were purposefully selected to evaluate and provide feedback on the prototype incinerator. Subsequently, the incinerator's performance was tested, and satisfaction data were collected from 30 users in the community.
The research results indicated that expert opinions on the incinerator were rated at a very good level. Performance testing showed that the emissions CO2, PM2.5, TVOC, and PM10 were within the acceptable limits set by the Pollution Control Department (Thailand). The user satisfaction assessment revealed a very high level of satisfaction.
