Abstract
The assessment of the Bachelor of Technology program in Information Technology at Phuket Vocational College, under the Southern Vocational Education Institute 2, aimed to evaluate four components: context, input, process, and product. The study involved 83 participants, including institute council members, personnel from educational institutions and establishments, and graduates from the academic years 2021–2022. Data were gathered through evaluation forms and questionnaires and analyzed using mean and standard deviation based on Best and Kahn (1993).
The results showed that the program’s context was strong. The institute council agreed that the institution was well-prepared for teaching and learning, with acceptance levels higher than 75 percent. Personnel from educational institutions and establishments also rated contextual readiness highly, with mean scores of 4.16 and 4.48.
For input factors, the council reported acceptance above 75 percent, while educational institutions and establishments rated inputs at high levels, with mean scores of 3.55 and 4.24. The process evaluation revealed similarly positive results. Both groups rated the implementation at high levels, with mean scores of 3.80 and 4.36, and graduates expressed high satisfaction with a mean of 4.40.
Finally, the product evaluation showed strong outcomes. Educational institutions and establishments rated graduates’ desirable characteristics and competencies positively, with mean scores ranging from 3.73 to 4.45, reflecting confidence in the program’s effectiveness.
