ANALYSIS OF LANGUAGE IN PANTIP THREAD TITLES: CREATING DIGITAL-AGE APPEAL

Abstract

This article analyzes the linguistic characteristics of thread titles on Pantip.com, Thailand's largest online community platform. The study examines popular threads across various forums between 2020-2023. The findings reveal diverse linguistic strategies employed to attract attention, including questioning techniques, excitement generation, accessible language use, and emotional engagement. Additionally, the study identifies language adaptations aligned with the digital era, such as concise expressions, language hybridization, and special character usage. This article presents new perspectives on the dynamics of Thai language in social media and communication adaptation in the digital age.
