The Importance of Midfulness and Awareness for Insight Meditation

Abstract
This article focuses on analyzing only mindfulness and awareness for insight meditation investigation. Mindfulness and awareness are considered to be the spiritual qualities that are very important to the insight meditation advance by the reason that both virtues are the main tools for training for insight meditators who must maintain their own mindfulness and awareness continuously in every moment while observing Nāma or thought formation and Rūpa or mental objects continually without interruption until the mind has settled firmly called Stindriya or mindfulness faculty which functions as the observer the cause and effect of all objects occurring as the true state of all phenomena at the present moment. Sampajañña or awareness (Wisdom mental factor), arises while considering the form and noun for the true realization, since it is the cause of the rise of true insight knowledge starting from Nāmarūpaparichedañāṇa up to Paccavekkhaṇañāṇa. Therefore, the development of Vipassana meditation is absolutely necessary to require both mindfulness and awareness in every moment for investigating on Rūpa and Nāma observing to experience the true state of reality at the present moment. both virtues enable the practitioners to experience three common natures of all phenomena according to Tilakkhaṇa teaching, that is to say, they will see them as falling into ever-changing, unsatisfactory and non-self.
