Recommendations for Authors

Objectives 
            The Journal of Contemporary Social Buddhism has a policy to promote research and dissemination of research articles and academic articles by researchers. Scholars, faculty, students, students and general interested people in the dimensions of Buddhism, liberal arts, political science, public administration, interdisciplinary humanities and social sciences, interdisciplinary studies in social development. Interdisciplinary in education and learning, with articles in both Thai and English.

Article Publication Fees

  1. Thai Articles: 4,000 Baht / Subject
  2. English Articles: 5,000 Baht / Subject
    (Only for articles that have been accepted for publication will be charged.)

Journal Publication Cycle
From the fifth year (2026) onwards, the journal will be published to 4 issues per year.
            Issue 1: January – March
            Issue 2: April – June
            Issue 3: July – September
            Issue 4: October – December

Format of manuscript preparation         
            The author who submitted the article for publication in the Journal of Contemporary Buddhist Society. Must not have been published or under consideration by a qualified person for publication in another journal. The author of the article must agree and comply with the guidelines. Format Procedure for Proposal Research Articles Academic Articles, Periscope Articles Book reviews for publication in the Journal of Contemporary Buddhism must be strictly   in accordance with the guidelines of the journal in the form of inserted citations in the content according to the Journal of Contemporary Society. APA Style 6th edition  The views and opinions expressed in the article in the Journal of Contemporary Buddhist Society are the responsibility of the author of the article and not the views and responsibilities of the editorial team of the Journal of Contemporary Buddhist Society. The journal has determined that the duplication of works with  the CopyCatch  program in ThaiJo's system   is not more than 25%.

  1. The author must study the format and check the writing of the article to ensure that it meets the format of the journal.
  2. Attach the article file (Microsoft word) with notification and contact to the Editor-in-Chief, Phra Mahasupawat Thanwutto, Dr. Tel. 061- 994 - 5451, Line ID: s.b.t. Email: s.boonthong2529@gmail.com, The author must specify the affiliation and telephone number that can be contacted directly in the Discussion Box.
  3. The article must pass the format check from the editorial department and the author must correct it completely and accurately according to the instructions of the editorial team.
  4. The content of the article and its elements must be reviewed and approved by the editorial department to be submitted to a qualified person for evaluation.
  5. The article must be evaluated by at least a number of qualified persons. In the event that your article is not evaluated and considered by the experts and the editorial team, the journal reserves the right not to accept the publication of the article and will not refund any money.
  6. Journal of Contemporary Social Buddhism Upon passing the quality assessment from the Thai Journal Citation Index (TCI) and being placed in any group of journals, the author agrees to accept the results of the evaluation without dispute.
  7. The content of the article edited according to the reviewer must be highlighted in red letters so that the editorial team can check that you have actually edited it. The journal will assume that you have not edited the article according to the reviewer and send the file (Microsoft word) of the completed article and attach it to the system for a period of not more than 1 month. After the journal sent the evaluation results to the author.
  8. Even if the article has been approved, it is later found that the author of the article cannot be contacted and the author refuses to complete the article or the article is delayed within the specified time. The journal reserves the right to refuse to publish the article and request for cancellation of the acceptance of publication of the article. The journal will only be notified via email from the system that the author has registered.
  9. The promotion of the order to publish each article is the authority and right of the editorial board to make a decision without the permission of the owner of the article. If you find that the article and the process of submitting the article in the system are incomplete.
  10. Progress on the article is the responsibility of the owner of the article to continuously monitor and inquire. The editorial board will notify the journal system.

           Online Submission can be submitted online through the website of the Pali Theravada Periscope Journal. Preparation of manuscripts

  1. The author must study the format and check the writing of the article to meet the format of the journal.
  2. The original article must be a word file (Microsoft word) only.
  3. A4 paper with a length of between 10-15 pages (including reference pages) is printed on a single page using TH Sarabun PSK font size 16 pt. Top – Bottom Edge, Right – Left Edge, Equal on all sides, 1 inch on each side. Set the distance between the line equal to 1 and paragraph 7.
  4. Images and tables must be presented clearly and the name under the image must be clear. Printed in plain 16 pt. font, such as Table1 and Figure1 and Model1  . The content in the original must be concise and consistent with the presented images.
  5. Title must be in Thai (TH Sarabun PSK size 20 pt. bold) and English (capital print (TH Sarabun PSK size 18 pt. bold) printed on the first page in the middle.
  6. Author's name, both Thai and English (16 pt.), no academic title required, prefix Mr/Mrs./Ms./Rank (except in the case of monk), printed in normal letters under the title by close to the right margin, and use a number to mark the author's name and the name of the agency 1, 2, 3 respectively.
  7. Abstract in Thai and English Academic articles not exceeding 350 words Research paper: 500 words or less.
  8. Define keywords in both Thai and English no more than 3-5 words.
  9. The use of numbers must only use Arabic numerals.
  10. Articles can be submitted to the ThaiJo system online through the website of the Journal of Contemporary Buddhist Society at https://so11.tci-thaijo.org/index.php/JCBS

 The manuscript preparation section in the article contains each type of content in order. As follows:

The research articles shall be arranged in the following order:

  1. Title in both Thai and English
  2. Abstract proposes research objectives. Types of research, research methodology, research results, and knowledge from the research.
  3. Introduction: State the reason or importance of the problem.
  4. Research Objectives: Specify the research objectives in the order of the items.
  5. Research Methodology: Identify the research plan. Sample and sample size Research Tools Data collection and analysis methods
  6. Summary of research results (Results) Clearly present the findings according to the research objectives in order. It should be presented in the form of a table or a chart.
  7. Discussion and proposal as an essay Pointing out the connection between the research results and the conceptual framework and past research. It should not be discussed in clauses, but it points out the connection of all the studied variables. Along with identifying knowledge from research.
  8. New Knowledge is a presentation of achievements obtained from analysis and synthesis from research. Easy to understand.
  9. Conclusion and suggestion: Identify the key conclusions and suggestions for the implementation of the research results and the points for further research.
  10. References must be items that are referenced in the article only. Using APA System Reference

Academic articles are in the following order:

  4. Content: Present the essence to be presented in order and identify new knowledge.
  5. Conclusion
  6. New Knowledge
  7. References: The references in the story use the APA system.

 Review Articles to be sorted As follows:

 Book Review As follows:

  1. The title of the book review written by, publisher, year of publication, number of pages is clearly stated.
  2. Abstract

In-content citations according to APA guidelines

    (Author's name, year of publication)
    1  author, Thai author, must provide first and last name without a prefix, and foreign authors must start with the last name followed by the first letter of the name.  A.D.
