Aims and Scope
The Journal of Contemporary Buddhist Society promotes the study, research, and dissemination of research articles, academic articles, and book reviews by researchers, scholars, faculty members, students, and the general public. Its scope covers Buddhism, liberal arts, political science, public administration, interdisciplinary studies in the humanities and social sciences, social development, and education and learning in contemporary contexts. Manuscripts are accepted in Thai and English.

Publication Frequency
From Volume 5 (2026) onward, the journal is published quarterly:
- Issue 1 (January–March)
- Issue 2 (April–June)
- Issue 3 (July–September)
- Issue 4 (October–December).

Publication Fees
- Thai-language articles: 4,000 THB per article.
- English-language articles: 5,000 THB per article.
- Fees are charged only after a manuscript passes initial screening and enters the review process, and are non-refundable.

Peer Review Process
All manuscripts are evaluated by at least three qualified reviewers in the relevant field under a double-blind review process, in which the identities of reviewers and authors are concealed from each other. Decisions of the editorial board are final.

Submission Requirements

  1. The manuscript must not have been previously published and must not be under consideration by another journal.
  2. The similarity index from the CopyCatch program in the ThaiJo system must not exceed 25%.
  3. Manuscripts must follow the author guidelines and be submitted as a Microsoft Word file through the online system, with the author's affiliation and contact telephone number stated in the Comments for the Editor field.
  4. Manuscripts must pass format and content screening by the editorial team before being sent to reviewers.
  5. Authors must revise according to reviewers' comments, highlight all revised text in red, and return the revised file within one month of receiving the evaluation results.
  6. If an author cannot be contacted or fails to complete revisions within the specified period, the journal reserves the right to withdraw acceptance. Notifications are sent only to the email address registered in the system.
  7. The order of publication is at the discretion of the editorial board.
  8. Authors are responsible for following the progress of their manuscript through the journal system.
  9. The views expressed in published articles are the responsibility of the authors and do not represent the views of the editorial board.
  10. Authors accept the journal's quality assessment results as announced by the Thai-Journal Citation Index Centre (TCI).
