Article Review Process

Editorial Workflow Description
Journal of Contemporary Buddhist Society (JCBS)
Timeline: Within 3 Months
Step 1: Online Submission
Authors submit their complete manuscripts through the ThaiJO online submission system. All submissions must strictly follow the journal’s formatting and submission guidelines before entering the review process.
Step 2: Plagiarism Check
Submitted manuscripts are screened for plagiarism using CopyCatch via the ThaiJO system.
Manuscripts must have a similarity index of no more than 25%. Submissions exceeding this limit will not be considered for review.
Step 3: Editorial Screening
The Editorial Board conducts an initial screening to evaluate the manuscript’s scope, structure, academic relevance, and overall quality.
Possible outcomes include rejection, request for revision within a specified period, or approval to proceed to peer review.
Step 4: Peer Review
Manuscripts that pass the initial screening are evaluated through a double-blind peer review process by at least three qualified reviewers. Reviewers assess the academic quality, originality, methodology, and contribution to the field.
Step 5: Author Revision
Authors revise their manuscripts in accordance with reviewers’ and editors’ comments.
Revised manuscripts must be resubmitted within the specified timeframe (up to 15 days).
Step 6: Final Check
The Editorial Board reviews the revised manuscript to ensure that all comments and recommendations have been adequately addressed. Additional revisions may be requested if necessary.
Step 7: Acceptance
Once the manuscript meets all academic and editorial standards, the journal issues an official Acceptance Letter confirming approval for publication.
Step 8: Publication
The accepted manuscript undergoes final formatting, proofreading, and quality checks before being officially published according to the journal’s publication schedule.
Timeline Summary
The complete process—from submission to publication—is conducted efficiently and is normally completed within three months.
