The Performance of Internal Quality Assurance System for the 5th External Quality Assurance in Schools under The Secondary Educational Service Area Office Bangkok 2

The objectives of this Research Article were 1) to study the implementation of internal quality assurance system for the fifth round of external quality assessment of schools under the Secondary Educational Service Area Office Bangkok 2, and 2) to study the preparation guidelines for the fifth round of external quality assessment. This study employed a mixed-methods research design. The sample consisted of 361 school directors and teachers under the Secondary Educational Service Area Office Bangkok 2, selected through stratified random sampling. The research instruments were questionnaires and semi-structured interviews. The statistics used were mean, standard deviation, and content analysis.
Research findings 1. The overall implementation of internal quality assurance system for the fifth round of external quality assessment of schools under the Secondary Educational Service Area Office Bangkok 2 was at the highest level. The strengths were in self-assessment report preparation and school quality development. However, areas requiring improvement included management and information systems, as well as continuous monitoring of operations. 2.The preparation guidelines for the fifth round of external quality assessment of schools under the Secondary Educational Service Area Office Bangkok 2 comprised eight aspects 1) Management 2) Personnel Development 3) Information Systems 4) Continuous Quality Development 5) Networking and Cooperation 6) Assessment Readiness Preparation 7) Quality Culture Building and 8) Monitoring and Supervision.
