Abstract

This research aims to study the satisfaction of the public with the services of disaster prevention and mitigation and to compare the satisfaction with the services of disaster prevention and mitigation. The questionnaire was used as a tool for collecting data from 394 people in Nong Tamlung Subdistrict Municipality area and the data were analyzed using frequency, percentage, standard deviation and t-Test and One-way ANOVA statistics to test the hypothesis.

The study results found that the majority of the sample group was female (63.96%), aged between 30-39 years, 34.52% had an associate degree or equivalent, 44.42% were employed as private employees, 35.53%. The type of work most commonly used was flooding (37.82%), and most people lived in the community for 4-6 years (32.23%).

Overall satisfaction was at the highest level, with the service method being the most satisfied, followed by the staff operating the service, and the service system coming in last. The results of the hypothesis testing found that people with different genders, ages, education levels, and occupations had no difference in their satisfaction with disaster prevention and mitigation work. However, people who used different assistance services and had different lengths of stay in the community had different levels of satisfaction with disaster prevention and relief work, with statistical significance at the .05 level.
