The Success in the Management of Change Agent of Song Phi Nong Subdistrict, Tha Mai District Chanthaburi Province

Abstract

The objectives of this research were 1) to study the effectiveness of the successful management among change agents; 2) to identify the factors influencing the effectiveness of successful management among these change agents; and 3) to explore the guidelines for achieving effective management success among change agents in Song Phi Nong subdistrict, Tha Mai District, Chanthaburi province. The research employed a mixed-methods approach. The population consisted of representatives from seven network partners. Data were collected from 17 villages, with 10 respondents per village, totaling 170 participants, including sub-district and village headmen. These individuals were selected based on their experience working in Song Phi Nong subdistrict and their involvement in driving change agents in Song Phi Nong subdistrict, Tha Mai district, Chanthaburi province.  The research results were presented descriptively alongside a discussion of the results.

The results revealed that overall management of change agents was at a high level. The plan factor showed the highest mean score, particularly in terms of stakeholder participation in setting clear objectives, goals, and directions. The overall success level of change agents in driving initiatives was high. The most significant factor was the implementation of empirical activities, with the highest mean score attributed to the Edible Fence Homegrown vegetable project, which included initiatives such as leaders take the first step, This House Grows Love, Grows Its own vegetables, This Path Yields Fruits and Fosters Unity, and the establishment of a Vegetable seed sharing center, which was recognized as a distinctive and outstanding feature of the project.
