The model of Thai women empowerment the working group driving the Prakfa Municipality Women's Development Fund Ko Chan Subdistrict Koh Chan District Chonburi Province

Abstract

This research aims to study the problems and obstacles in the operation of the Women’s Role Development Fund Task Force at Prak Fah Municipality and to determine an appropriate model for improving the task force's operations. The key informants were the task force members, district development officers from Ko Chan District, and the Women’s Role Development Fund Task Force of Chonburi Province. The research employed purposive sampling and a participatory action research method.

                   The findings revealed that the operations of the Women’s Role Development Fund Task Force at Prak Fah Municipality were well-organized and followed the guidelines for task force operations. However, after conducting a forum to identify the issues, it was found that most of the members faced challenges related to public speaking and presenting a confident public image. Additionally, the communication of their activities was mainly done through text messages, which lacked engagement. Therefore, the researcher and collaborators developed two strategies to enhance the task force’s operations: 1) Development of public speaking and personal image skills, and 2) Creation of more engaging communication materials.
