Abstract

This research aimed to 1) study the level of educational information system administration affecting the effectiveness of satellite-based distance learning management; 2) study the effectiveness of satellite-based distance learning management; 3) study the relationship between educational information system administration and the effectiveness of satellite-based distance learning management; and 4) study the effect of educational information system administration on the effectiveness of satellite-based distance learning management. The research sample, on factors of educational information system administration affecting the effectiveness of satellite-based distance learning management, was conducted using purposive sampling. The target group consisted of 312 school administrators participating in the satellite-based distance learning project, educational institution administrators, and teachers.

       The research results found that 1) the level of educational information system management in basic educational institutions, computer systems to assist in teaching, was at a high level overall. 2) the level of distance learning management via satellite was at a high level overall When classified into each aspect, all aspects were at a high level. 3) The management according to the principles of good governance of educational institution administrators and the practice according to the code of ethics of the teaching profession under the Nonthaburi Secondary Educational Service Area Office, overall, had a high positive relationship (r = 0.727). 4. The management of educational information systems that affected the management of distance learning via satellite. Information system in educational institutions (B =0.177, p-value =.000, t = 4.351), computer system to assist in teaching (B=0.167, p-value =.000, t= 4.415), management system and information within educational institutions (B=0.165, p-value=.000, t= 3.900), management system and information management process of educational institutions (B=0.0.120, p-value=.000, t= 4.081), and basic computer literacy (B=0.0.103, p-value=.000, t= 2.283), affecting the conduct of oneself according to the code of ethics of the teaching profession under the Nonthaburi Secondary Educational Service Area Office. The four factors of good governance management of school administrators can collectively predict the impact of distance learning via satellite by 68.10%, with statistical significance at the .01 level.
