Modern management models that affect the effectiveness of educational institutions under the Office of the Secondary Education Service Area, Bangkok Area 1

Abstract

This research is a survey research on the new management styles that affect the effectiveness of educational institutions under the Office of the Secondary Education Service Area, Bangkok Area 1. The objectives of this research are 1) to study the level of administration in the Office of the Secondary Education Service Area, Bangkok Area 1, 2) to study the level of effectiveness of educational institutions under the Office of the Secondary Education Service Area, Bangkok Area 1, 3) to study the relationship between administration and effectiveness of educational institutions under the Office of the Secondary Education Service Area, Bangkok Area 1, and 4) to study the administration that affects the effectiveness of educational institutions under the Office of the Secondary Education Service Area, Bangkok Area 1. The sample used in this research was teachers under the Office of the Secondary Education Service Area, Bangkok Area 1 in the 2020 academic year. The sample size determination table of Krejci and Morgan was used, totaling 379 out of 6,305 teachers from 76 schools. The proportion was determined by calculating the rule of three, classified by school. Then, simple random sampling was used. The research instrument was a 5-level rating scale questionnaire. Part 1 was a questionnaire about administration. Part 2 was a questionnaire about the effectiveness of educational institutions. Under the jurisdiction of the Bangkok Secondary Educational Service Area Office 1, with a reliability of 0.98. The statistics used in data analysis were frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, and Pearson's product moment correlation coefficient. Stepwise multiple regression analysis was performed.

  The research results found that 1) the administration and effectiveness of educational institutions under the Office of the Secondary Education Service Area 1, Bangkok, as a whole and in every aspect were at a high level. 2) Overall administration was related to the effectiveness of educational institutions under the Office of the Secondary Education Service Area 1, Bangkok, at a statistical significance level of .05. 3) Educational institution administration 2, namely characteristics of individuals in the organization and characteristics of the environment, could predict the effectiveness of educational institutions under the Office of the Secondary Education Service Area at a statistical significance level of .05 with a multiple correlation coefficient (R) of 0.772 and an overall forecasting efficiency (R2) of 0.597 and a standard error of 0.337. They could jointly predict the effectiveness of educational institutions. Belonging to the Office of the Educational Service Area, 59.70 percent, with both aspects of administration having coefficients of predictors in the form of raw scores (b) equal to 1.052, 0.490, 0.202, respectively.
