Development of “EatRand” Website for Dietary Suggestion

Abstract

The objective of this project is to develop “EatRand” website for menu recommendation aiming to help users making decisions of dietary selection. The website was designed using random technique which easy and convenient to use. The website provides users with several menus and restaurants such as rice, noodles, and meats, and the system will randomly select the appropriate menu. In addition, recommended restaurants and restaurants around the Rajamangala University of Technology Isan (RMUIT) Nakhonratchasima Province will be displayed and can be added into this website to promote their restaurants. The RMUTI’s students were purposive sampling of participants for this study. This study aims to add menus and restaurants options. This is for improving the economy of local community and promote small or unknown restaurants around The University area as a case study. The EatRand website was developed using website technology (Visual Studio Code, CSS, Java Script, PHP, phpMyAdmin, MySQL, Figma and Google Maps) focusing on mobile devices offering real-time and efficient working. The project has been tested and improved by experts to ensure the capacity and efficiency of the website to meet the users’ needs. The evaluation’s results show that the “EatRand” Website has average score of 4.67 for the overall quality. The highest average score of text representation’s quality was 4.96, and the lowest average score of screen display’s quality was 4.36. Therefore, the user interface needs to be developed more clearly and easily to use.
