The relationship between Emotional intelligence with school-based administration of school administrators in educational expansion schools under the Rayong Primary Education Office of Area 1

Abstract

This research aimed to 1) study the emotional intelligence of school administrators in the expanded opportunity schools, 2) study the school-based management of school administrators in the expanded opportunity schools, 3) study the relationship between emotional intelligence and school-based management of school administrators in the expanded opportunity schools. This research was a quantitative research. The sample group was teachers. The sample group in this research was school administrators and teachers in basic education schools, expanded opportunity schools, , academic year 2019, totaling 277 people. The number of schools was randomly selected by each district using stratified random sampling. Then, the sample group was randomly selected according to the proportion of the population of each school in 3 districts: Khao Chamao District, Klaeng District, Wang Chan District, and then the simple random sampling method was used by drawing lots. The research instrument was a 5-level rating scale questionnaire with a reliability of 0.98. The statistics used for data analysis were frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, and Pearson's correlation coefficient. 

     The research results found that 1) The emotional intelligence of school administrators in the schools that expanded educational opportunities found that overall, the emotional intelligence of the administrators was at a high level. 2) The level of school-based administrative practices of school administrators in the schools that expanded educational opportunities 1 found that overall, the school-based administrative practices of school administrators were at a high level. 3. The correlation coefficient between emotional intelligence and school-based administrative practices of school administrators in the schools that expanded educational opportunities under the Office of the Rayong Primary Educational Service Area 1 was overall high. There was a positive relationship with statistical significance at the .01 level. When considering the relationship in each aspect, it was found that the relationship was between 0.55 - 0.76. Creating self-motivation and the principle of participation were highly related. Self-control With the principle of participation, there is a high level of relationship (and awareness of one's emotions with the principle of returning the power to manage education to the people, there is a moderate level of relationship, with a statistically significant positive relationship at the .01 level.
