CREATIVE MANAGEMENT MODEL OF CULTURAL HERITAGE THROUGH THE PARTICIPATION OF MEKONG RIVER BASIN COMMUNITIES

Abstract

This research aimed to study the creative management of cultural heritage with the participation of the Mekong River Basin communities. This research was a qualitative research in the form of R&D by conducting in-depth interviews with 36 key informants and organizing a project to create awareness in the community conservation for 30 individuals. Data were analyzed using content analysis techniques with context and triangulation techniques to check the completeness of the data. The results were presented in a descriptive manner.

The research results found that the creative management of cultural heritage with the participation of the Mekong River Basin communities (1) The community participated in the management of traditional cultural heritage in terms of providing information/knowledge (2) The community participated in the management of traditional cultural heritage in terms of participating in activities (3) The community participated in the management of traditional cultural heritage in terms of participating in development planning (4) The community participated in the management of traditional cultural heritage in terms of participating in conservation (5) The community participated in the management of traditional cultural heritage in terms of participating in the organized project activities through the following formats: (1) a creative cultural heritage management format with the participation of Mekong Basin communities through the promotion and advocacy of local administrative organizations in the area; (2) a creative cultural heritage management format with the participation of Mekong Basin communities by the government sector; (3) a creative cultural heritage management format with the participation of Mekong Basin communities by temples and villagers.
