Artificial Intelligence (AI) Policy for Academic Innovation Journal
AI Usage for Authors
1. Authors may use AI solely as a supportive tool for writing the manuscript. AI cannot be listed as a primary author or co-author in any capacity. This is to ensure that the manuscript generates new knowledge, value, benefits, and maintains academic integrity.
2. Authors bear full responsibility for the content, including the accuracy and completeness of the manuscript. Since AI is merely a tool, it cannot be designated as an author or co-author and cannot be held accountable for the manuscript. Therefore, authors are responsible for ensuring that content generated or assisted by AI constitutes original work to prevent plagiarism, and that all sources are accurately and comprehensively cited.
3. Authors must fully disclose the use of AI. The specific methods and tools used must be stated in the Acknowledgments and Methodology sections. If AI is used to generate text, tables, or images, the specific prompts or generation steps must be disclosed in the Methodology. If AI is used for data analysis, it must be specified in both the Abstract and Methodology.
4. Authors are permitted to use AI for grammar checking and improving sentence structure to adhere to correct linguistic standards.
AI Usage for Reviewers
1. Reviewers must not upload the manuscript, or any part of it, into AI tools, as doing so may violate author confidentiality and personal data rights.
2. Reviewers should not use AI to analyze, evaluate, or synthesize peer review results.
3. Reviewers are permitted to use AI for grammar checking and improving sentence structure to adhere to correct linguistic standards.
AI Usage for Editors
1. Editors must not upload the manuscript, or any part of it, into AI tools, as doing so may violate author confidentiality and personal data rights. An exception is made for specialized tools dedicated to detecting AI-generated content.
2. Editors must utilize high-efficiency tools designed to detect AI-generated content, as well as abnormal text or image manipulations.
3. Editors are permitted to use AI for grammar checking and improving sentence structure to adhere to correct linguistic standards.
Editorial Decisions on AI-Utilized Articles
1. The journal reserves the right to reject any manuscript where the core content is entirely generated by AI tools.
2. The journal reserves the right to reject manuscripts that demonstrate a lack of accountability for the content or fail to provide full disclosure regarding AI utilization.
3. The journal will reject manuscripts that use AI to fabricate citations, whether within the body text or in the reference list (Hallucination Citation).
4. Authors may appeal editorial decisions regarding AI usage by presenting clear, verifiable evidence to the Editor and the Editorial Board. The decision may be reversed if the counter-evidence is robust and explicitly approved by the Editorial Board. The final decision of the Editorial Board shall be absolute.
5. If a published article is subsequently found to violate this AI policy, the journal reserves the right to retract the article from the journal’s website.
