Author Guidelines

Guide for using this Template

This template (click here) provides a comprehensive guide on the sections that can be included in a manuscript. It is important to note that while some sections are mandatory, others are optional.

Review Articles: An Introduction and Final Considerations are mandatory. Authors are free to develop the other textual sections.

Research Articles: Introduction, Methodology, Results and Discussion, and Conclusions are mandatory sections. Additionally, authors must declare that respondents have provided consent for the research to be conducted.

Note : Kindly avoid making any changes to the header and footer.

Introduction

Insert text (Times New Roman, size 12, and single-line spacing).

The Introduction should briefly place the study in a broad context and highlight why it is important and necessary. It should provide a general background of the study, define a problem, emphasize the purpose/justification for its execution, and present a clear and concise study objective.

The Introduction should be comprehensible and connect the points mentioned above with a dynamic flow of reading, making it accessible to scientists outside of the specific research field. Citations should be presented in parentheses, using only the last name of the first author followed by the year, without commas or periods.

Examples of citations:

Single author: The author's last name should always with the first letter in uppercase and the rest in lowercase, whether it appears inside or outside parentheses. Examples: (John, 2024) or John (2024).

Two authors: When referencing an article authored by two individuals, include both authors' last names followed by the publication date each time you mention it in the text. Examples: Chen and Wang (2023) or (Chen & Wang, 2003).

Three or more authors: In cases where a work has three or more authors, only the last name of the first author should be used, followed by the Latin expression "et al.", and then the publication date. Examples: Chen et al. (2023) or (Chen et al., 2023).

The citation and reference formatting standard in the IJIS follows the American Psychological Association (APA).

Literature Review

Authors should critically evaluate and synthesize relevant studies to establish the context for research, identify gaps, and justify methodology. The review should be well-organized, either thematically or chronologically, and provide a balanced assessment of existing research. Citations must follow the journal's required style, accurately attributing sources while avoiding over-citation and plagiarism.

Authors should aim to paraphrase effectively, cite primary sources, and use reference management tools to ensure consistency and accuracy throughout their work.

Hypotheses should also be addressed here.

Subtopic title

Insert text (Times New Roman font, size 12, and single-line spacing).

Subtopic title

Insert text (Times New Roman font, size 12, and single-line spacing).

Subtopic title

Insert text (Times New Roman font, size 12, and single-line spacing).

Figures: Make sure that all figures are legible and of good quality. The caption (title) should appear at the bottom of the picture. All Figures must be priorly called in the text (Figure 1, Figure 2...) before they appear.

Tables: All tables must be numbered with Arabic numerals and should be cited in the text in numerical order. All tables must be priorly called in the text (Table 1, Table 2,...) before they appear. For each table, provide a caption (title) at the top. Identify any previously published material by referencing the original source at the bottom of the table.

Materials and Methods

The Materials and Methods section should include enough detail for others to replicate the results. Authors must make all materials, data, code, and protocols available, disclosing any restrictions at submission. New methods should be described comprehensively, while established methods can be summarized and cited. If large datasets are used, the location and accession numbers should be provided, with the numbers submitted during the review if not available at submission but required before publication.

Equations and mathematical contends:

For more complex equations, using the "Equation" feature available in software such as Microsoft Word is recommended.

Results

It should present a clear and concise description of the experimental results, their interpretation, and the conclusions that can be drawn from the experiments.

Note: Results may be accompanied by Discussion in the same section or separately. If so, this section will be titled "Results and Discussion".

Discussion

The Discussion section analyzes and interprets the study's results in relation to existing knowledge, exploring the significance and implications of the findings. It compares the results with previous studies, cites relevant references, and addresses strengths, weaknesses, and unexpected outcomes. Authors may discuss study limitations, propose explanations or hypotheses, and suggest directions for future research. This section ties the key findings back to the research questions or objectives stated in the Introduction.

Acknowledgment

This section provides an opportunity to express gratitude for any assistance or support received that goes beyond the author's direct contributions or funding sources.

 References

The reference list must include only works cited in the text and published or accepted for publication. Referral list entries must be alphabetized by the first author's surnames of each article.
