Abstract

Conflict management in communities is a crucial process for fostering peace and coexistence in multicultural societies. Multicultural communities often face challenges in managing conflicts arising from differences in ethnicity, religion, language, and values. This study aims to explore the processes and methods of conflict management in multicultural communities through a case study of a community with members from diverse ethnic and cultural groups. The research employs qualitative methods, including interviews and participant observation, to examine the factors contributing to conflicts and the strategies the community uses to resolve them. The findings reveal that creating spaces for dialogue, involving all parties in decision-making, and fostering understanding of cultural differences are essential factors in managing conflicts in multicultural communities. Additionally, promoting cultural diversity education and developing communication skills between different groups can help reduce conflicts and enhance positive relationships within the community.
