A STUDY THE ROLES OF BUDDHIST MONKS IN PROVIDING ETHICAL AND MORAL TRAINING TO PRIMARY STUDENTS IN MUEANG DISTRICT, NONGKHAI PROVINCE

This research article aims to 1) studying the roles of Buddhist monks in training ethics and morality to students in the Primary schools; 2) investigating opinions towards the roles of Buddhist monks in training ethics and morality of administrators, teachers, and students in the Primary schools in Mueang District, Nongkhai Province; and 3) studying and comparing opinions of males and female sample groups. The methodology used in this study was qualitative research.
The findings were listed as followeds:
- The Buddhist monks’ roles in providing ethical and moral training the students in the Primary Schools in Mueang District, Nongkhai Province as a whole were in the high Level Considering each aspect, the results were found at high level for the aspects of ethical and moral training patterns, knowledge and comprehension of ethics and morality, implementation of ethical and moral principles in daily life, ethical and moral training processes and methods, and ethical and moral training curriculum.
- The comparisons of Buddhist monks’ the roles in providing ethical and moral training in the Primary students in Mueang District, Nongkhai Province as analiged by variables with perceived by samples with different genders, education, and status revealed no differences which rejected the Established hypothesis.
