The development of knowledge and skills in the 21st century plays a crucial role in education and student development, as the rapidly changing world of today demands not only academic content knowledge but also other skills such as critical thinking, technology use, collaboration, and effective communication. The main roles of developing these skills include preparing students for the future, particularly in terms of creative and critical thinking, enhancing technology skills, fostering collaboration, building lifelong learning capabilities, and encouraging creativity. These roles are essential in ensuring that students are well-equipped to face future challenges effectively.
