The Development of the Item Bank System of Innovative Learning Center, Srinakharinwirot University

Abstract

This research aims to 1) to develop an item bank system for the Innovation Learning Center, Srinakharinwirot University, and 2) to assess the efficiency and user satisfaction of the system. The sample group consisted of nine individuals, including academic staff from the Innovation Learning Center responsible for coordinating general education courses and the Deputy Director for Academic Affairs at Srinakharinwirot University, during the first semester of the academic year 2024. The research tools included 1) the item bank system for the Innovation Learning Center, Srinakharinwirot University, 2) the evaluation form for the efficiency of the system checked by information technology experts, and 3) the satisfaction form. The research findings revealed that the developed system effectively reduced work time and facilitated online examination management. It streamlined the process of transferring exams between administrators and academic staff, exam review, and online exam production. Regarding satisfaction assessment, the average satisfaction score for the system was at the highest level. Specifically, the satisfaction with system support and usability had an average score of 4.96 and a standard deviation (S.D.) of 0.19. The system efficiency aspect achieved an average score of 4.89 with an S.D. of 0.27, while the system development aspect had an average score of 4.86 with an S.D. of 0.35, all of which were at the highest level. Therefore, the developed item bank system can be adapted for use in other departments with similar contexts to enhance the standards of exam management, reduce workflow processes, and improve the efficiency of data administration in a systematic manner.
