A STUDY ON MIGRATION AND ITS IMPACTS ON LOCAL COMMUNITIES IN THAI SOCIETY

Abstract

Migration is a process that occurs in many societies around the world, including in Thai society, with impacts on the economy, society, and culture. This study focuses on exploring and analyzing the effects of migration on local communities in Thailand, considering changes in labor utilization, resource distribution, the creation of new social relationships, as well as cultural changes that may arise from the integration of local populations and migrants. The study employs a qualitative research method, using interviews and surveys to gather data from local communities with high migration rates to understand both the positive and negative impacts. This study aims to provide information and recommendations for the effective management of migration, to support the sustainable development of local communities in Thailand.
