Abstract

This research aimed to study and analyze the factors influencing the development of community potential in promoting the development of special economic zones in the Thai border area, Nong Khai Province. The quantitative research method was used. The sample consisted of 483 community representatives. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, including frequency distribution, percentage, mean, and standard deviation, and inferential statistics, including Pearson’s correlation coefficient and multiple regression analysis.

The results of the research found that the factors influencing the development of community potential in promoting the development of special economic zones in the Thai border area, Nong Khai Province, were 6 factors: policy awareness and access to information, community infrastructure, support from government agencies, internal community management, economic resources in the community, and professional skills of people in the community, which were statistically significant at the .01 level.
