Publication Ethics
ICT Silpakorn Academic Journal serves as a medium for disseminating research articles and academic articles, as well as new discoveries between researchers and external society. To ensure proper and transparent academic communication, guidelines for good practices and publication ethics have been established following the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) guidelines, categorized by roles as follows:
Duties of Authors:
1. Authors must certify that submitted works are original and never published elsewhere.
2. Authors must take responsibility for manuscript copyright in all cases.
3. Authors must obtain approval from co-authors (if any) for article submission.
4. Authors must report facts from research without distorting data or providing false information.
5. Authors must cite others' works when incorporating them into their own work, including preparing reference lists.
6. Authors must write articles correctly according to journal format requirements.
7. Authors must verify that all details in articles to be published are correct and comply with accepted international ethical standards.
8. Authors must accept criticism and be able to respond with complete research data support.
9. Authors must specify funding sources (if any).
10. Authors must declare conflicts of interest (if any).
Duties of Editors:
1. Editors have the duty to consider article quality for publication in their responsible journals.
2. Editors must not disclose author and reviewer information to unrelated parties during article evaluation.
3. Editors must decide on article selection for publication after review processes, considering importance, novelty, clarity, and content consistency with journal policy.
4. Editors must not publish previously published articles.
5. Editors must not reject articles due to suspicion or uncertainty without seeking evidence to prove suspicions.
6. Editors must not have conflicts of interest with authors, reviewers, and management teams.
7. Editors must seriously check articles for plagiarism using reliable programs to ensure published articles do not contain plagiarized content.
8. If plagiarism is detected during article evaluation, editors must stop the evaluation process and immediately contact corresponding authors for clarification before "accepting" or "rejecting" article publication.
Duties of Reviewers:
1. Reviewers must maintain confidentiality and not disclose partial or complete article information sent for consideration to unrelated parties during article evaluation (Confidentiality).
2. After receiving articles from journal editors, if reviewers realize potential conflicts of interest with authors, such as being project collaborators or knowing authors personally, or other reasons preventing independent opinions and recommendations, reviewers should notify journal editors and decline to review those articles.
3. Reviewers should evaluate articles in fields of their expertise, considering content importance to those fields, analysis quality, and work intensity, without using unsupported personal opinions as article judgment criteria.
4. Reviewers must identify important research works consistent with articles being evaluated but not cited by authors. Additionally, if any article parts show similarity or overlap with other works, reviewers must notify editors.
